AKIPRESS.COM – Rice import from Pakistan increased by more than 61% in 8 months of 2024, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Kyrgyzstan imported 1,600 tons of rice from Pakistan worth $706,000 in January-August. This is 61% more than last year, when 1,000 tons of rice worth $398,000 were imported.

In addition to Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan purchases rice from Russia, Kazakhstan, India, China and other countries.
